is with us for another month!!! Why? Well, didn't you read when I told you how bubbly she is? She brings me joy! I want to keep her forEVA!!!! But, her husband was screaming about kidnapping, her kids were crying...it just wasn't pretty. Her husband has agreed not to press charges against me as long as we just keep her for a LITTLE longer! Before I start showing you what Jen kreated with the January kit, I have to show you the rest of the yumminess she made using the DECEMBER KIT:
The texture on this page...the circle journaling...those are my FAVES!!!!! I'm really digging the Thickers altered with "snow!" I NEED to use that technique. And then you look more closely at Jen's page:
Snowflake rub ons used on TOP of the thickers...pearls glued at intervals along the rub on swirl...the distressed rose...
another distressed rose where Jen cut some of the patterned paper to use as its' base...the tiny pearl centers...do you understand now why I can't let her leave?!?!The December kit reawakened the altered animal inside of me. I LOVE to see other artists take a piece of driftwood and kreate an entire dinette set from it...well, I'm exaggerating SLIGHTLY but you understand what I mean! Like the chalkboard Ms. Char turned into something useful and BEAUTIFUL! So, I'm determined to kreate more items to display around our home (I'm sure John will be THRILLED to hear that!) I picked up an unfinished wooden frame. It would make this story SO MUCH better if I could tell you "and I only paid 37 CENTS for it!" but alas, I can't!!! Anywho, I took advantage of the large snowman on the Cosmo Cricket ornament page to use as an opening for my picture to show through. The only thing on this frame that ISN'T in the December kit is the large rhinestone in the center of the snowflake and THAT'S been in my stash for THREE YEARS so I'm pretty glad about putting it to use! I think it came out pretty cool...what do you think?
