The kit that keeps on giving

These last few days, I have been playing with the December kit. I loved the kit as soon as I laid my eyes on it, and I have to tell you, that feeling just grew stronger and stronger when I got to work with it! I challenged myself to work only with kit products, both because I love challenges AND to show you just how much you can do with it. And this kit made it easy for me to live up to the challenge! Apart from inks, paints and stitching materials, I used nothing but kit products on my kreations! Here's what I made:

For this first LO, I wanted a simple design because I really wanted the pics to stand out strong. I used one of the chipboards as a mask, and the green Shimmer Spritz was the perfect colour for the look I was going for ... not too strong, with a delicate background to make the project prettier without overwhelming the pictures. Initially ,the rubon was just as an embellishment. But once it was on the page, I found it to be the perfect title as well! I love the christmas trees with the pearls, but what really gave this page the finished look I was looking for, was Keandra's awesome reindeer ... this really adds a wow-factor!

For my next project, I wanted to kreate a mini album, again using nothing but the kit. Now this was a double challenge for me, as I'm not used to making mini's and I really was out of my comfort zone ... However, again, the pages just seemed to build themselves. Kean's choice in papers coordinate perfectly, the embellishements are just gorgeous and perfect for any kind of project, and what's more, it's just FUN to work with!

You won't believe it, but I STILL have supplies left from the kit to make another project! So I'm off to play some more!

Sometimes....

...we focus so much on Kreatorville Kits that we forget to spotlight my APTLY TITLES. Despite the name, it's SO MUCH more than titles...it's a way of life (or is that the Coast Guard?) Anywho, APTLY TITLES (which can be purchased at kiwithekreator.etsy.com) are handmade yummies including (but not limited to) cursive and print titles, frames, embellishments and bobble heads. If you're scratching your head right now about what the heck a BOBBLE HEAD is, look up. The blog header, with a real picture of my head and a cartoon body...that's a Kiwi Bobble Head. And now you can go to the etsy shop and let me let me bobble head ya! To get back on course, I want to share a Kustomer's Kreation using an Aptly Title...Mizz Blue, show 'em what you can do!
I LOVE the majestic feel of this page! The purple hues are PERFECT for the #3 Prince fan (sorry, Katy! My mom and best friend are numbers 1 and 2!!!) I LUUUUUV that sequined swirl...especially that part of it you cut to form a crown...GENIUS!!!! That "Diva" APTLY TITLE looks right at home on this page! And if you look closely, you can see the velvet ric rac that Katy used as a border towards the top of the page...that came STRAIGHT from the December Kreatorville Kraft kit! I also want to share some pictures I stole from Katy's blog:
(These are some of the APTLY TITLES Katy purchased from kiwithekreator.etsy.com)
(This is a custom order I made for Katy's Book of Me)
I wanted to share these with you because HOW KOOL are these pictures? I LUUUVVVV the way Katy photographed my handmade embellishments...so FUNKY FRESH!!!!I may have to hire her to do my photography from now on!

Make sure to visit Katy at her blog here...she TRULY showed Kreatorville some love!
In the spirit of keeping it ETSY, let's talk about that bobblehead.
When you come to visit us here, the first thing you notice is the mini me sitting where the header should be, right? C'mon admit it...I've seen you looking!!! Well, now you can have your own mini me! Check out some examples:
You all know Ms. Charity. The other pretty lady is Jenneke....she is the SWEETNESS!!! I really love her spirit...truly loving! I'm getting off track! The point is that Jenneke and Charity are now for sale in the etsy shop! No, I'm not supporting something illegal...I mean, the MINI ME'S are for sale! You can submit a picture and some pose and clothing ideas and in about a week and a half, you can have your very own bobblehead! Make sure to check out the etsy shop for full details!

Some of the greatest....

... Kreators have our kits in their hands! I can honestly say that I haven't seen a Kreatorville project YET that I haven't loved! There's a young lady in Australia who subscribes to Kreatorville's kits. She was initially unsure about getting the kits because the postage from the US to Australia is like $4,000 an ounce. But, she said she was SO overtaken by the sheer awesomeness of the elements in the kit that she couldn't resist. (That wasn't a VERBATIM quote but it was SOMETHING like that!) Anywho, when she got her November and December kits, she just kept professing her love for me...umm, the kits. So, between being a Doctor, Mommy of Two AND Wife, she found a FEW minutes to kreate...and she ROCKED IT!!!! When I saw her kreations on her blog, I couldn't WAIT to share them with the rest of our loyal Kreators!!!!
Natalie has a new baby girl so this first layout is ESPECIALLY clever!!!! Using the handmade tree and the handmade "Blessed" title, she kreated a page entitled "So Blessed to have a New Branch!" I love the simple hand stitching on the tree and the strips of patterned paper adhered right under the journaling. I LOVE the Prima pebbles used like fruit on the tree...and HOW CUTE is the little bird Natalie pieced together from two different patterned papers?!?! The two little deer and the number two journaling spot representing her two little ones? GENIUS!!!!
The second page Natalie kreated is entitled "Nativity". Her baby girl played Baby Jesus in their church play. Since that is the PERFECT December story, I think these are the PERFECT papers to scrap the pictures!!!! I love that Natalie kept this page a little more simple to draw your attention to the picture. I'm really feeling the distressing and the Maya Road Velvet Ric Rac used as a border. That rose placed in an empty spot in the corner of the picture is awesome! And (this is a direct quote from Natalie) she's FEVERISHLY working on more kreations using her kits! We can't wait to see what she comes up with next! And, don't YOU be shy...share your kreations with us, too!!!!
OH! Also, check out Helen's blog, Scrap a Little. We're sponsoring her challenge this month...I PROMISE you won't want to miss out on a chance at the great prize!!!!
