For my first two projects, I made pages for my mini-album (12x6) of our dog Vita. This is a work in progress ... I won't be finishing this album any time soon, but I plan on making some new pages every now and then when I come accross perfect papers like the ones in this kit.
Perfect background paper, cute strip of paper with the birds, that matches the goofy pics beautifully, and I just love that splash of colour provided by the frame made out of Cosmo Cricket paper. I like the look of that arrow as well, it gives a nice whimsical touch to the page. I sanded the pics, and I matched this look by sanding the alphas as well. The shiny surface of the alphas, together with the sanded edges, are a match created in heaven ...
Those little trees on the pp's are adorable, and I had a hard time not putting them on every LO. I've only used them on one so far, but I have to admit I'll probably cut them out again, I just can't help myself LOL! Same goes for the little birds ... I cut them out, and pop dotted them ... aren't they cute??And don't you just love that checkered background paper? Together with that splash of orange and the strip with the brown ovals, it made the perfect setting for a boy's page. On the first page I did a lot of distressing and black inking ... on this page, I did no inking at all! I loved it as is (which is rare for me), and I wanted the papers to go with the white frame around the pic. So for this reason, I decided to leave the alphas unmarked ... pretty as well, right??
Both pages are made exclusively with January kit products!
Now those who know me, know that I've used an unseen amount of paper on my previous projects ... so, you've guessed it, it was high time for me to take out my painting materials LOL. Not only did I feel like painting, but this Pink Paislee background paper is so beautiful, I just couldn't bring myself to add any other papers.

I loved the combination of the paper and the Pink Paislee alphas, so I knew immediately I wanted to create a big title, making them the main feature of the page. Again, this is something I rarely do, so this kit has really broadened my horizon LOL! I added some masked leaves, a little white gesso and pink acrylic paint and added my pics. I felt the page needed some more colour, so I added a bright pink stitched frame and made flowers out of the cosmo cricket paper. That paper is just perfect to add colour to a project, the patterns and colours are beautiful!!!!
You've guessed right again, I still have tons left of the kit to make some more pages! I'll be back!
